Bonnie Arneson has been an Examiner and Production Manager for Title One for almost 10 years. Although we will all miss Bonnie, she has worked hard all of her career and has earned the opportunity to enjoy more time with her family. We wish her nothing but the best in her retirement.

We'd also like to welcome the addition of Peter Skinner to our Examination department. Peter comes to us with 24 years of experience in the Title Industry and we're excited that he's become a part of the Title One family!

We are excited to announce that Title One, Inc. has decided to align our interests with Westcor Land Title Insurance Company. As many of you know, we've been using Westcor for our refinance orders since March of 2009. Starting April 1st, 2010 all new orders for refinances and purchases will be underwritten by Westcor. I hope this post finds you having a very happy and safe New Year.

With the New Year comes big changes in the Real Estate Industry. Title One, Inc. would like to make these changes easier for you, so we have instituted a single fee for Refinances and Purchases, called the Title One Fee. Our online calculator and invoices will now detail the Title One Fee, Lender's Policy, Owner's Policy (if applicable) and government recording and transfer charges. On the new HUD, line 1101 will now combine the Title One Fee and the Lender's Policy (line 1104 will disclose the lender's policy premium separately). Line 1103 will show the optional Owner's Policy amount. Lines 1105 - 1108 will now be additional applicable Lender's and Owner's disclosures as it pertains to the new RESPA regulations.

On April 1st, Title One's Anoka Office is closing and the staff temporarily relocating to our Roseville Office while we finish preparing a new location to best serve the Northwest suburbs. In the interim, we can accommodate your needs and closings at our nearby Minnetonka and Roseville Office locations!
